Carew Draws Crowd at ABCA Convention

The Rod Carew Baseball booth at the recent American Baseball Coaches Association Convention was abuzz with the appearance of baseball legend and Hall of Famer Rod Carew.
Carew, Chairman of Rod Carew Baseball, made two appearances at his booth during the convention in Nashville. Rod made a brief cameo appearance at the booth on Thursday, January 6th. Once word spread that Rod was there, numerous people made their way to the booth.
However, during his scheduled appearance on Friday (when he signed autographs), hundreds or people formed lines around the booth to meet the Hall of Famer. Because of the long lines, Rod’s normal 1-hour signing schedule was extended an additional 45-minutes.
It was the first appearance of Rod Carew Baseball at the ABCA Convention, which company president, Gil Vieira, dubbed as a great success.
“We couldn’t have been more pleased with the industries’ response to our company and new hitting aid, the GAPHitter,” stated Vieira. “And, needless to say, Rod’s appearance was the highlight of the show. Everyone was thrilled to meet Rod, and many were very thankful for Rod extending his autograph session.”
Rod Carew Baseball continued its January 2011 coaches show tour with an appearance at the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Show in Waco, TX – and the Mohegan Sun World Baseball & Softball Coaches’ Convention in Connecticut.
