MLB All-Star FanFest Ticket Hunt to Take Place at Five Southern California Locations on Friday, April 9
Friday, July 9 will be Kids Day at MLB All-Star FanFest,

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim All-Star outfielder Torii Hunter will join Hall of Famer Rod Carew as a spokesperson for MLB All-Star FanFest. Additionally, Major League Baseball will conduct a ticket hunt at five locations in Southern California beginning at noon PT on Friday, April 9. Fans who discover the winning red packages will win special ticket prizes to 2010 MLB All-Star FanFest, which will be held from July 9 to July 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
"MLB All-Star FanFest is a family event that brings people closer to the sport and I am honored to be a part of it," said Hunter. "I know it will be an experience fans will remember the rest of their lives. The first fan at each location that finds the MLB All-Star FanFest Ticket Hunt red packages will receive four tickets to all five days of MLB All-Star FanFest, Holiday Inn Priority Pass lane passes enabling them to go to the front of the line for select attractions, food vouchers and a voucher for a baseball autographed by Torii Hunter.
The MLB All-Star FanFest Ticket Hunt will be open to all residents of California and will begin at noon PT on Friday, April 9 at locations throughout Southern California. The event will conclude at 5:00 pm PT or when the final red package is found, whichever happens first. MLB All-Star FanFest, a baseball amusement park, will make its first visit to Anaheim and will occupy more than 450,000 square feet of space at the Anaheim Convention Center. The five-day event will serve as the launch for MLB All-Star Week which will culminate with the 81st MLB All-Star Game, to be held Tuesday, July 13 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
For the first time, fans who purchase one adult full price ticket for Friday, July 9, 2010 will receive one free children's ticket for the same day (a $25 Savings). Adult tickets for this special offer must be purchased by July 1 using the coupon code
Kids Day at FanFest will be filled with kids themed programming aimed at promoting exercise, healthy lifestyle and education. The first thousand children also will receive a kids themed giveaway. A FanFest Super Value Pack is available for any of the show days. For $110, fans receive four MLB All-Star FanFest tickets, four hot dogs and four 12-ounce sodas.
MLB All-Star FanFest provides an unrivaled experience for fans of all ages. The five-day event is the world’s largest interactive baseball fan event and features more than 40 baseball attractions and exhibits.
Among MLB All-Star FanFest’s attractions are life-sized video batting and pitching cages, clinics from Major League legends, free autograph sessions with former Angels, MLB legends and Hall of Famers, memorabilia and much more. Angels legends confirmed to attend include Chuck Finley, Wally Joyner and Tim Salmon.
Torii Hunter, who will make a variety of appearances on behalf of MLB All-Star FanFest, is a three-time All-Star. The Angels centerfielder won the Silver Slugger award in 2009, when he hit a career best .299 with 22 home runs and 90 RBI, including three home runs in one game against the San Diego Padres on June 13. A native of Pine Bluff, Ark., Hunter has a .274 career batting average with 235 home runs, 879 RBI, 1,506 hits and 163 stolen bases. Hunter has a reputation for taking apparent home runs away from the opposition, one of the most spectacular coming against Barry Bonds in the 2002 MLB All-Star Game in Milwaukee. Hunter also is an all-star off the field, winning the 2009 Branch Rickey Award for his charity work, which includes the Torii Hunter Project Education Initiative and was the 2009 Angels’ nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award presented by Chevy.
All MLB All-Star FanFest attractions are free with the price of admission, and the only additional event costs are for concessions and memorabilia. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for children 12-and-under (children two-and-under are admitted free), senior citizens and military personnel.
Tickets for MLB All-Star FanFest are sold on a timed-entry basis, providing fans the ability to reserve the day and time of their choice. Major League Baseball is also offering several discount options, including discounts of $5 off each ticket purchased as part of a MLB All-Star FanFest Family Pack; these packs are sold in ticket denominations of four or more.
